Have you guys noticed the walkie-talkie looking things strapped on people's back in reality shows. I've noticed this from shows like Flavor Flav to the Real World and I've always wondered what they actually were used for.

The microphones are used to catch everything their saying.

At least that's what I've always assumed.

Yea its just the transmitter for their wireless mics..
