Smile First time home buyer

^Both & at the same time ha ha

This has to be the most stressfull week of my life. My girl and I are putting an offer in on what will be our first house. Its kinda strange, I wasnt freaked out until today. Today is the day we hand over our first check. I'm a budget based kinda of person and i've gone over total costs per month 10,000 different ways and i always come up in the black. I dont know why i'm freakin out here ha ha. I was told that buying your first house is the scariest purchase of your life, never believed it till now. Anybody ever have this problem?

Owning a house is great, but all that paperwork is massively stressful. They payments suck, they just make me want to stay inside more.

Congratulations!

It's a great idea going into a new house with some $$$ leftover in the bank. It can keep any surprises from knocking you on your ass.

Enjoy!

The thing that stressed me out the most when we bought our house was the closing costs kept changing up to the last day. So you would think that they would get all their stuff together, especially when they have almost a month to work out all the closing costs and contracts and whatnot, but things kept popping up all the way until the last minute when we sat down with the lawyers to officialy close.
So just expect to have some issues all the way to the last minute and once you sign the paperwork....you will never hear from your real estate company again...LOL

BTW...CONGRATS on getting your 1st home!!

By far the biggest up and down experience I've ever had. But it was worth it.

Congrats on your purchase

Make sure you have all these inspectors out before you sign the dotted lines....

General Home Inspector to satisfy the paperwork/lien holder
A Plumber, have them check for any leaks.
Structural Engineer or Foundation Specialist
Pool inspector if it has a pool
AC/Heating Inspector

Yeah it sucked, 30 days of stress for me.

FYI if you make split payments on your new home you can pay it off in a 3rd of the time financed with no additional money out of pocket. check with the lender to see if they have that program . just send 1/2 payment on 1st and the rest on the 15th it will pay back less interest as well.....congrats on new home, a great achievement!

Awesome man...some good advice here too.

My wife and I are looking around for our first home too, it takes so long, trying to find one that's nice and affordable at the same time.

Edit: LOL...repped for being Deputy Dangle.
