need some computer help

recently i bought a toshiba a215 laptop. i just bought gears of war for it. i installed the game successfully however it gives me a message that says i must upgrade my ati catalyst driver. i updated it and it still wont work. anyone know of another ati catalyst driver thats compatible with my comp that i can download. any help will be appreciated

i just googled your laptop and it looks like you have a radeon X1200M?

Drivers & Software

did you download the correct one? either 32bit or 64bit for the X1200? (it's under the integrated/mobo section)

how do i know if i have the 32 or 64 bit vista?

mobile drivers work different than desktop drivers. dont download those. get drivers from Acer.

also, there may be hacked drivers that allow the standard drivers to work properly on mobile chipsets.

i have no experiene with Vista but you can try going into the start menu, and then run, and then type winver in the box and hit enter and see if you can see anything there.
