How to make your clicker gain more range

i found this out a few weeks ago and figured i would share it with everyone else. if you happen to be out of range to lock your doors put the clicker under your chin and slightly open your mouth. the click it. this will buy you about an extra 10-15 feet. its a cool trick to show your friends.

Haha I first learned of this when I began working at my VW/Mazda dealership. It only worked on the VW keys when you flipped it open.

i used to laugh at my friend when he did that, now that I have keyless entry i do it all the time. good stuff

Put rabbit ears on your head and you can get about 10 more feet!

so does talking on a cell phone. hopefully you did not stop talking on the phone. everything will have an effect.

Basically...your noggin acts as a boost antenna giving another few db of signal for the remote...the tiny little crap antenna in the remote ain't much so using your melon gives it a bit of a boost.

We used to use this trick years ago on the car audio circuit when our batteries were dying from arming and unarming the cars all day to show off to the fans.

the antenna on the transmitter uses the small electrical current in your body to boost the signal just enough to give you a few extra yards of range.

Btw, I learned this probably 15 years ago... how is this new?

it's funny how this trick actually works...however, when i first heard about it, it sounded like something that "Household Hacker" would do on Youtube. some of the stuff he's done includes "how to create a hi-def speaker for under a buck" - with a paper plate, tin foil, and a penny - "how to build a cell phone interceptor" - with a bowl, remote control, and tape - and "how to cook turkey with a light bulb with dvd-r" - absolutely ridiculous, hahaha.
