Try going to:

View>Toolbars

And then selecting the Address Bar, Links and Standard Buttons.

The bar on the bottom is the Status Bar. Be sure that's selected as well.

You may have accidentally moved you address bar and links. Good luck with that. I can't easily explain that over the net.

I just re-read your post. You're missing the Taskbar as well? The one with the Start Menu?

Slide your pointer to the bottom of your screen, and when the taskbar does show, right-click the Start menu. Select Properties>Taskbar.

Make sure there is no check mark in the Auto-Hide Taskbar box.

You can't uninstall IE only.

Yea, it sucks.. I wish it would go away forever. I've had a few customers call in and demand/insist that I uninstall IE.
After 20 minutes of explaining, we end up reinstalling Windows altogether since they don't want to uninstall Windows

Hell yeah. And with that mouse control program thingy... where i just hold down right mouse button and drag a different direction to go forward, back, new page, etc.
So key.
