Rapper's Bout: T.I. vs Lil Wayne
ok ok. This has been the biggest discussion slash debate at my work lately. And it has gone very out of control and was total chaos. Just last nite, a couple of guys were yelling at the top of their lungs and godzilling over the breakroom tables all to just try to prove a point. It was funny as h377. It was then basically broken down to ATL rap style compared to NO (New Orleans) rap style. Everyone had albums to back up their debate with singles and what not. Then it went even bigger to H-Town vs. ATL vs. NO vs. UpNorth vs. Cali rappers. And man, was it tense in there. Things like empty powerade bottles, saftey vests, were being thrown and spit spat everywhere.
Of course, I represented ATL and T.I. And out of no where, I played my ringtone, "What You Know About That?" and got everyone to shut up and listen to it. When everyone was "rockin" to it, that made everything escalate even more. LOL. IMO, T.I. is the realest "King of the South"! Question1: T.I. or Lil Wayne? Question2: What would you rather be? "King of the South" or "Best Rapper Alive"? I would like for everyone, if possible, to post their opinions about this. Thanks. Vo.

T.I. is the hottest rapper to come out of the ATL right now, IMO.
H-Town is comin up, but I can't get with the screwed and chopped. Cali's startin to come back, but I just can't get with the hyphy movement...and I'm from the Bay. I was always more into the East Coast scene. Jay-Z just got named greatest MC alive by MTV. |

If you're gonna start spouting off about ATL, I say Outkast. Say what you will, but I think "new rap" isn't that great. They don't say anything. First it was "You Don't Know Me" and now it's "What You Know About That." Sure, it's got a great beat, but you've gotta have more than a synthesizer and some bass to please me.
Maybe I'm too old school.

Jay-Z is good yes he is. But he's been in the industry for quite some time now. When it comes to T.I. and JayZ. I choose T.I. because JayZ will never be on the level of seriousness as T.I.
Best MC Alive? C'mon, that's wack. Yeah he's a fvcking entrepreneur with his label and other companies. But for what? The money? C'mon... IMO, that's just another way of advertisement. T.I... The realest. Along with the very upcoming Young Jeezy. Two different styles of rapping. Gotta love it.

and maybe we can get together sometime (in a non-creepy way)... maybe. anyway, back on topic... I also like young jeezy a lot, and I agree about JayZ, he's not that good. His rap doesn't really seem to flow that well, and I think if we're going to talk about the big guys, Eminem beats them all :) Eminem's rap with Dre's production = success. when's 2pac coming back? |

ahhh.. i dont even know where to begin in this arguement... both t.i. and lil wayne have crazy lyrics... and you listen to it and your like, "how do they come up with some of this stuff?" but i think snoop dogg is the biggest G of them all! he is a real "gangsta" i love listenin to him and ice cube and that old school stuff! S N double O P D O double G 'zeee

![]() To the original poster, it kinda depends. If you listen to their lyrics, they're both dope as hell, but based on albums and pure listenability (if that's a word), I'm going with T.I. Weezy's voice begins to annoy me after awhile. If you don't have the King album, go get it. Outkast owns em all from the south (reppin Alabama myself ).....
