Anybody Taking Rad Tech??????

like the title says.... anybody taking radiology???? i'm taking that major in January.... just wanted to know how hard and easy that job is... i met this guy that have this job and he told me that the job is easy but SCHOOL is a B*tch....

That's what I want to get into. A friend of mine could get me a job but I have to go to scool first.

it's been a year since i graduated from high school and forgot alot of things....so i'm starting from the bottom.. the program is 2years.... it's a community college so i gotta take the bs classes just to get into the program... what i think is that that's the only way the school can make money...

My buddy from high school is finishing up his 2 year degree as a rad-tech. Be prepared to study like you've never imagined. Flash cards will be your best friend. Then come clinicals. 8 hours a day, 4 days a week, and it's not paid. Plus school! You still have homework, you have presentations.

I'm not trying to scare you, but that job is no joke. X-Rays aren't cheap, so you have to be good at what you do. And you're not dealing with just the people that come to the lab for some pictures. You have to sometimes go to them. 300 lb football players that get injured, and you have to get the plate under them to take the X-Ray.

Good luck and succeed. You'll love it, but it'll be one of the hardest things you've probably ever done. But once you graduate, you'll know it was worth it.
