Exhaust gasses-> to header-> to TB -> and back...
Ok. I didn't want to mention it but I was thinking about turbo charging my Si. I got to thinking about it and how in efficient even turbos are (compressor efficiencies of about 80% at best).
Since a turbo's function is to pressurize incoming air and force it into the upper motor, and turbos are driven by high pressure exhaust gas created from the combustion process, couldn't I just bypass the turbo altogether and route my headers back into the throttle bodies? I could balance the DEI (direct exhaust injection as I just coined it) by feeding one header into the throttle body. Yes, the charge air wouldn’t be that cold, but it would be under a hell of a lot more pressure. I attached a quick sketch below: ![]() For you slow ones please reffer to the fowlling post: So i ported and plolished my engine... Last edited by Skyline4life; 11-09-2007 at 05:58 PM. |

Lol sorry dude.. are you for real?
The turbo gets SPUN by the exhaust flowing out of the motor and then sucks in fresh air to combust. It doesn't take the polluted air and recycle it.. lol. Don't you think someone else woulda done this by now if you could just have the same air recycle again and again through the car? You'd be the first person in the world to have a 0 pollutant car haha. Ok edit - Who the hell goes out and draws a picture of something they're joking about?... I still think the joke is on you sadly. |
