You did what now? You have petition to drop a class and that would leave you with one 3 credit class?

Know when the last day to drop a class is -- ALWAYS.

Oh! So you aren't IN the classes and want to be. Yeah, ALWAYS register early. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS. Example: my classes start next week (sept 5), I registered for those back in May. ALWAYS do it early or they could be full -- especially classes the underclassmen take (the gen. ed courses).

MAn i only choose this college becuz it was less costly then other colleges im planning to become a chef. Before i went to the college im going in now which is ORANGE COAST COLLEGE i registered for the ART INSTITUTE and it was to expensive 55 thousand for 2 years compared to the 20 unit classes which im going at now.

Exactly, you must need electives, just pick up some of those for the time being and prepare better next semester. Good Luck!

Talk to your Dean. Beg and plead for him to help you. I've done it and it's worked for me when I needed some weight to make something happen.

Wow... you think YOU have it bad? Try going to University of Toronto... They have all these secret rules and regulations regarding enrolling/dropping/withdrawing/petitioning for courses... I got screwed so badly that I needed to withdraw from the school and come back home to a community college...

Hahaha, yeah, adding/dropping classes you need are the worst. At least you're still a freshman. Take some GE-related Mickey Mouse courses: Philosophy and Psychology, etc. Get those out of the way. The hard part about being a freshman is that your priority isn't the greatest. Wait a semester, and you'll find those classes you need easier to get into.

Definitely as a Freshman you have to get your classes fast. Any waiting and you'll be locked out.

Hey dude, i got to cal state long beach, but i live around OCC. Try doing a late enrollment for Golden west college even if you have to pay late fees and sign up for classes there as well. You'll have to drive to two diff schools but its better than being under full-time, especially if you're going to get financial aid.

Yup, I'm at MassBay community college to boost my GPA so I can get into a different school. UMass Boston already told me if I maintain a 2.5 I can get it garenteed. Right now, I took 2 more courses with a GPA of 3.0, so I'm on the right track. UofT is rediculous, the profs are outragous, letting the class averages slip to low 60's and in some cases low 50's... Dropping courses is a bitch, and apparently you can drop 3 for free, but nobody tells you that... UofT just suckers kids and takes their money then leaves them ****** over...

Mine is starting out shitty already (First class yesterday). The college using their damn website for EVERYTHING. They won't give you homework, tell you when they're going to be gone, etc etc. It's all done via the college email and then the class messageboards. I guess that woudl be fine.. if EVERY single section of the site didn't require a different login I.D. and password.. and then the website decided to reset all my passwords, so I had to go back and change them back.. and then I found out I had homework due tomorrow that I could've started on yesterday.. that and the fact that they are so cheap on the A/C, and I'm not a fan of sweating at all.

The first day of class I didn't get there early enough (I was about 30 minutes early to class) and I had to park so far away in this dirt parking lot that another building was actually blocking my view of the college.
