My Girlfriend Hates my Civic

My Girlfriend Trish hates my 06 Civic. She says its way too small and she doesn't feel safe in it. When it comes back from the body shop she wants me to sell the car! We've got a youngster on the way and she wants to get something bigger. I told her due to the rising prices of gas again we need to keep this car. I've already got an 03 Crown Vic PI. How much bigger of a vehicle does she want! I just don't see the cost factor of going out an buying another vehicle, just doesn't make sense to me at this time! Some Women love our cars and others hate them! I had an 01 Accord V6 before this and kind of wish now we hadn't traded in the car for this Civic. I told her today if she wants another vehicle go out and buy one. Her daddy usually gives her what she wants! Right now she has a 99 Tortus.

very high crash test resuluts - more here from the gov testing on the 06 civic.

http://www.safercar.gov/NCAP/Cars/3691.html

The civic is actually safer than a lot of larger cars. Some will never feel safe in a small car though - so I don't know what to say. Maybe having her read some info on the crash test results will help her out?

That sucks. My girlfriend didn't like the car at first when we test drove it at the dealership but she is in love with it now. I hope your girlfriend takes a look at the links provided by the other posters here as it overwhelmingly shows the great safety features of the 06 Civic.

Honestly the new 06 Civic sucks for carrying a full car seat & the trunk space isn't that good.

go trade it in and get a LS1! If she still feels the same way, then dump her ass.

I care because the reason I'm getting the civic is to get a woman. Do girls prefer guys who drive manual because thats what my friend has been telling me so now I'll probably get a manual even though I've never driven one. Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm getting a sedan by the way.
