Yes, he is done. NFL has to bar him from the league with this plea agreement; not doing so would be playing favorites. Either way, it was the smarter move on Mike's part.

First Marcus, now Mike... what is going on with the Vick family.

I like dogs, actually rescued some Pits this year, brother and sister from the same litter. I can't believe someone that makes that much $ would be dumb enough to do this. They killed 8 dogs? Don't even know what to say to that. The NFL has criminals all over the league, and while I realize they are just members of society like anyone else, and you can make mistakes, these guys are what a lot of little kids look up to. I can remember being not tall enough to get a cup out of a kitchen cabinet and watching Monday night football. Baseball has controversy, and all of these guys get paid too much $, so much that the average family can't even afford to go to a game anymore (seen the price for NFL tickets lately?) because it all costs so much. Green Bay is the only franchise I have any respect for in sports but to tell the truth I just don't care for stick and ball anymore. For me it's all about MotoGP and some WSBK, don't care to waste my time on the American sports.

Five years, no way. Like a year in jail. His NFL suspension won't start until he gets out of jail. So 2-3 years from now I expect to see him scrounging around playing fields, broke as hell and begging for a job. Hopefully the response will be to sick a few hungry dogs on him.

If convicted on charges of RICO and putting money up for gambling, the NFL will have no choice but to permanently ban him. No second chance, no more sponsorships, no more endorsements. Vick's done, even if he doesn't do a day in jail, which he will, since his people were offered a plea bargain. Vick should've offered more cheese. Otherwise, never ask a rat to take the fall for you.

...nevermind. was gonna say something here. but stupid people do bad things and bad people do bad things to good and stupid people. And good people do stupid things and take the fall for bad people. Especially where money is involved. You'll probably hear all of this again in a few days.

He'll never do 5 years. After good behavior and all of that, heck no. It'll be another Paris Hilton story.

The justice system is b.s. like that.

yep.. i do think he deserves a minimum of 1 year but i'd hope for more.. celebs suck. its not like they're superhuman or anything so they shouldnt get special treatment at all. i dont care how rich or famous they are, they deserve just as much ass pounding in prison as any other retard who gets put behind bars

Hey people make mistakes but when your a "high profile" figure in society you have to remember everyone is watching you. Vick should have know that the FEDS would love nothing more than to bust someone like him. I don't think any amount of money is going to save him. The plea agreement was the best decision for him especially after all his "friends" chirped like birds!!! I think his career is over, time for a new life in jail where he'll be looking for people trying sack him in the night

I just had a thought.

Kobe, Ray Lewis (baltimore ravens, murder trial) and Barry Bonds have all gone through federal cases in the past few years and none of them have been banned from their respective leagues. Just interesting how that works.

Killing animals for "entertainment" is not something that should be taken lightly. What kind of message would that send if they allowed him back? Terrible. He should be subjected to the kind of torture he put those poor dogs through.

this story reminds me a little bit of the story of Diego Armando Maradona, one of the best players in soccer history, but the difference is that Maradona was involved in drugs, while Vick is involved in something worst, which is killing animals. Even if he doesn't go to jail or just does a couple days, he's not gonna be the same person he was before all this. Now the fans, media, sponsors, everyone knows what he did, so even if he tries to go and play, he won't be allowed, he will have too much pressure on him, and he won't be able to perform. If there's tons of trash talking in today's sports, imagine when you're facing a guy that killed dogs, i would love to hear what goes on down on the field during the game. So no matter what, he won't be the same. Nike won't sponsor him anymore, and i don't think any company would want to associate their brand with a killer, even if he only killed dogs. To me, Vick is more than done, he's messed up for life
