Any one have any tips for tying a mattress to the top of a civic?

Strange question I know, but I am heading to Ikea tomorrow to pickup a bed frame and mattress and I'll have to tie the mattress to the roof of my sedan. Does anyone have any tips?

Or should I just suck it up and pay them for delivery?

Thanks in advance from a poor college student.

this can be done but its sorta dangerous to your mattress and other motorest
can you find a buddy with a truck or suv
but if all else fails
crack your windows
try to get the rope or straps whatever
through the little handles on the mattress and then run them into the car
but try to find a truck
or maybe have it delivered

Just have a couple of your buddies sit on the mattress as your driving down the highway. That'll keep it steady for a few miles. If no buddies are available, get it delivered
