Why the Hate? or lack of love thereof....

Just thought Id make a thread and get some truthful answers from the other side of the fence since im here now. I've been a Toyota car lover since i was a kid, and always admired and loved working on yotas since i can remember. The first car we ever had as a kid was a Ae86 hatchback in white back in Manila (of course i was like 5 and didnt know it then, lolz). Anyhoo, growing up and getting into the car scene and the modding bug, i noticed that since i hung out with alot of toyota peeps, every so often, some honda guy would always find a way to be the biggest prick on the road. Now ill be honest and say Ive had my fair share of returning the hate back as a result of being provoked or just my dumb ego getting in the way at the moment. Nevertheless I always wonder what provokes alot of young teenage kids, retarded adults and "ricers" to cut yota drivers off or just show off and hit Vtec for no reason in the middle of rush hour on the 101. H3ck, when i had my fixed up rolla, i lost count of the number of times that i got dumb remarks from "primered POS looking civics and teggies (no offense but my car looked waaaay better) at a stop light. I know that civics and hondas have way more aftermarke support than the 9thgen rollas so i just often shrugged and purged my Zex kit as a response I consider myself a purist at heart and i wlays say to each his own, but i just wonder and maybe can get some insight on this from loyal Honda fanboys on this site. Btw, now that i have an Si, i can understand the endless satisfaction one gets from hitting !!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You no like your VVTL kabayan?
I wouldn't know what motivates these pricks to do such things to other drivers though.
I guess since they have a Honda they feel superior to all others. Not so sure.
Best thing to do is just ignore them.. they end up looking like a tool

The street is both ways my friend, we get tC drivers calling us out all the time, most of the time i let it off and dont let it bother me. It's just pride issues, I like to take the Tokyo Drift Han theory of racing where if i HAD to race it would be for something important or at the track. Otherwise most of the hate comes from trash talk from both sides. Think of it as a snowball effect, One insult can make hundreds of counter insults and vice versa.

One person disses your Honda. You talk to your people about his Ride they get assumptions about people who drive that car and it just keeps piling on. Then in the end you get a huge amount of comments about said Ride.

I think a lot of people give honda drivers a bad name. *cough punk ass kids cough* Its the thing i had most about having a fun to drive Honda. Every one thinks im some punk kid ricer ( i do have a baby face though). If i had a VW, BMW, Mustang etc, i would still put some parts to get better handling and acceleration out of it and no one would notice. I'm just an automotive enthusiast that likes small cars and perfers N/A engines. Honds just happens to be the only maker that makes those kid of cars. The other bad thing about honda at the moment is their performance in F1. What the hell happened to them. They won a race last year and this year get beat every race by Super best friends.

Hahaaha, I still love toyotas, and my detuned corolla is going to my moms/ I just figured to get something more peppy and fun to drive. Plus, I like the reliability of Hondas and Toyotas. I was really interested in getting the MS3, but it was just not what i thought it was going to be. Anyhoo, I do realize that this thread might be contraditcory, hey it's a free world right? Im trying to get people's pinions because i do know that the road goes both ways. anyhoo thanks for the input guys. this'll help me explain things be4tter to my friend who's probably the biggest Honda ricer/jackass driver i know

Yep, Beamer drivers probably get the worst stereotypes and probably Vette owners. Believe me when I say dirtbags invade every facet of life, no matter how niche you think it is there will be at least one dirtbag POS. The only cars I hate are SUV's because most of them are just utterly pointless.

I never really thought they were ugly just very plain. Like just nothing special or fantastic (which the new camry has done a good job of breaking away).
Although toyotas and Hondas both are on the good list of car makers.
