Car damaged at work...Need advice

So I was at work today, I work at a very large construction site. For the locals here, it's the new Medtronic campus going up at 35W and HWY 10. Anyways, they opened their parking garage to us (the construction crews) and we've been parking in there for a couple weeks. So far I've had no problem. But today I noticed my NBP Si had been slightly painted white. OMG!!! I'm so pissed. I believe the people that we're painting the white lines on the garage floor, oversprayed the F'ing white paint all over my ride. Damn it! I don't know what to do. I called the lead for our crew and he said we'de talk to the supe tomorrow. I don't know what I should say. what do you guys think? Here are some pics I took, but it's very hard to see with a cam...and I'm by no means a pro photoghrapher. Here they are...

Say: One of your %^&^%$&%^ workers got paint on my car!!!
Then make sure they pay for it, and maybe a little extra!

Stay calm and respectful, show them the pictures and ask them to cover the damage, they probably have insurance that will cover it if its real expensive.

If that doesn't work you'll need to call Chuck Norris

A sign fell on my car at work a few years ago and they had to pay for it. You are in a similar situation so I'd make their insurance cover it.

Make them fix it. Unless you were told to move to a different area you should be fine. Just to calm yourself down see if a clay bar will take it off. Good luck.

if you were in a space that you were allowed to be in, the general is supposed to pay for it. Tell them the stripers, or someone who paints down there, got white paint on your car and that you are taking it into the shop and they can be billed, or cut you a check for the estimated cost of removing the paint.

It will probably get buffed out, so it may not even be that expensive.

Thanks for the advice. Kinda what I figured, but I'm still a little worried that the foreman will try to blow it off. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed everything will be OK. It's just so upsetting. I always park in the back of parking lots to avoid dings and stuff, and this is a side affect of that. damn it.

if the forman blows it off, nothin is stopping you from going straight to the general. Just make sure you go to the right person, someone who matters and has a voice

Update:

I talked to the General this morning. He asked what color of paint got on the car. I said "white", he proceeded to tell me that they have not painted with white paint for a couple months now. I started to get mad inside but kept rollin with him. He then asked me to park in the same spot I had parked yesterday so he could analyze the conditions. So I moved to the same spot. Right as I was heading on my way, a guy drives up in this truck covered in paint. He was obviously a painter. I asked "Did you guy do some painting over here yesterday"? He replied, "yeah we did". I said "You guys got it all over my car". He says "I know, here, just get it fixed, and send the repair bill to this guy" and then gave me the name and number of the PM for their company. I left him a message. I had an estimate done at a detail center that reach $240. However, I spoke with RaskyR1 and he quoted me $300. I decided to go with RaskyR1 because he's so reputable and I've seen his shop personally. So for those of you who read the Raskys work thread... Rasky's Work keep your eyes peeled for my Si to be featured soon! Wish me luck in getting reimbursted though.

good stuff. Would have been nice for the painters to leave a note though so you didnt have to worry about it all night

It was over spray. They might not have even noticed it. Look on the bright side at least the painter took care of it, he could have just denied it and you would have been screwed.

Scott, I am really sorry to hear about this. Your car is so nice. Hopefully, Rasky will be able to work his magic and remove the paint. Years ago, my dad used spray paint on some wrought iron. My car, which had a Kosmoski paint job, was covered in the stuff. I took lacquer thinner and wiped the car with it. Then I used a buffer over the entire surface of the car. I then used several grades of polish to get any impurities off the paint and finished off with a good wax. Car looked good after all was said and done. Let us know at the meet how things are going.

This happened this my old car about 2.5 years ago while I parked it outside on the street. There was road construction close to the street and they were spraying orange lines on the street. Somehow they sprayed my car. I was pissed, I had it all removed without any problems. My Dad told me to use rubbing alcohol and it really worked. You'll need a soft cloth, like an old t-shirt, put some rubbing alcohol and rub. It won't be easy at first, but after about a minute of rubbing, you'll see major results. At the end, it'll be completely removed.

I know Rasky will get it off and the paint will probably look better than it did before. He's doing a claybar on the whole car. It will take it off.

I don't think that would be a good idea with the paint on these cars. Especially in my case, with black.
