Would you pay 33 for a 32?

Most definately....I had a 2004 VW R32 that I got rid of and kinda regret now...if the new one is anything like the old...I'd get one for sure...but, I'd rather wait a few years and buy a used one...I bought my 04 R32 for $23,000 and was offered $25,000 a year and a half later and sold it...

I wouldn't buy that car for 33 Gs. However, it's a good deal if you compare it to the price of an A3 3.2 with DSG. I'd give up some of the luxury stuff in the A3 for more performance-related equipment in the R32.

I wouldn't. I really love the design of the golf's, but for it having that much power and awd it really should be a bit faster.. especially to 60 for Christs sake!
Yeah, I would have to track down an 05 STi or an Evo IX before I bought one of these without a doubt.

I think I would get one for precisely that reason. More people get Evos and STis, so I'd rather have the R32.

if it had to be a new car, id take a 350Z over it in a hearbeat.

however with any options of the moneyi could think of a lot of better ways to spend 33k on a car without getting an R32, STI or Evo..

I wouldn't drive that thing if you gave it to me. I think I summed it up yesterday when I said, "eurosnobs and entry level german engineering FTL."
