Yes you need an AUX cable or you can use one of those that use FM transmitters to make it work.

Yea, just by a cheap mini-to-mini stereo cable from Wal-Mart or radio shack, I would get the shortest one possible. (I think radio shack has 1ft.) That way you don't have a bunch of cord to worry about.

honda ilink is another option - prob most expensive!

the coolest option is prob the harmon kardon drive + play - gives you an additional display to see song details

No, the cable does not look like that. That kinda cable is used for your home entertainment system.

Think of how the plugs headphones use look like. You need to look for a cable that has that plug on both ends.

I got a longer cord, plugged it into the Aux jack, and kinda stuffed it under the plastic on the side of the console. Then I left about 1.5 feet of slack at the end next to the drivers seat. This way the cord is out of the way of my feet, but there's still enough play at the end that I or my passenger can easily pick up the ipod.

I think there is a DIY on here about wiring it directly through the Aux jack and completely hiding the cord up through the console. That way you dont have to look at the cord plugged into the Aux.
