motorcycle caught doing 160mph on the highway

Motorcyclist arrested after reaching 160 mph on I-75

Maybe not the brightest idea.

<...>...going that fast on the freeway is more than a bit nuts. I loved that bike and had quite a bit or money into it, however, the freeway is not a track and while I can say I certainly hit 100+ on long open stretches, hitting the 150 range off the track is a good way to kill someone.

I'm debating on whether or not to pick up a bike next year. I go back and forth so often it kills me.

I'm a very conservative "driver" by nature, but it's the people around me that I'm worried about if I'm on a cycle.

It is the people around you that can get you in trouble quickly when you are on a bike. I can't count on both hands the numbers of times someone made a left across traffic in front of me, or changed lanes into me on the freeway. You try your best to stay out of blind spots and to 'be noticed', but many folks just don't see you...or just don't care.
