If he is more of a car guy than a home body, then go for the stereo. I wouldn't mind a good chair to surf the Ocho.

i say cash money is the best bet, but really boring haha. If it were me, I'd want a new stereo but a nice desk chair would be cool.

In all seriousness though, I'd personally appreciate a chair more. As was said, if you know EXACTLY what he wants, get that. Also, would he rather get something he *wants* or something he *needs*? Big diff...

I like receiving presents that I *need* because it lets me enjoy them everyday.

Uhhh, I gotta go with the "nice asian chick part". After mentioning somthing like that who really cares about a radio, that guy would be singing Memories for the rest of his life.

Just take him shopping to pick out the stereo. You can make that the surprise. My wife does that with me. We were at the BX one day and she said I could buy a set of golf clubs for our anniversary. I was stoked cause I got to pick them out right there two weeks before the day!

you get him the desk chair, but also suprise him with not only some good chinese food but the girl who took your order and her sister who made the chinese food

new chair+2 chinese girls+you=FTMFW!

Thanks for all the suggestions! So far it seems like I should get him the chair, with me in a bow and a dance.

I asked another friend and he was leaning towards the stereo because he thought my b/f would think of me more when using it.

I'd love to do the surprise that xcopx recommended, but I can find the stereo he wants pretty cheap online. Kinda ruins the whole pick-it out factor. Best Buy is marking up the one he wants about $100!!!

I'd opt for some sushi and the 2 girls... Chinese food is ok, but sushi is better.
