I dont know if this was posted before but I thought it was hilarious. Also just for those who think world of warcraft isnt addicting just watch.

Kid needs a beating; he should be outside playing. I'd take away all his games, internet, cell phone and get him a football. Games and the internet are why kids are fat these days. Playing sports games on their Wii systems when they should be doing the REAL thing.

I was never able to say "no" to either of my parents without a beating, and it worked, and I deserved it! Kids these days are just spoiled lil bastids with no respect for anything or anyone, most likely due to the fact that both parents have to work just to survive, and the guilt of having some daycare person raise them leads them to become spoiled. If more parents invoked the: "hate me now, love me later" mentality, we'd be raising more responsible children, better suited to enter society.

Kids do need a beating, I agree. As I was growing up I had my game systems taken away from me numerous times for grades falling, and I deserved it!! Warcraft is borderline a cult now, hahaha not really but sheesh.

Actually I think it is pretty idiotic to say games and the internet are why kids are fat these days.

^that is the parents fault, not video games. Kids are fat and lazy these days b/c of their parnets just generally not giving a shit. They don't pay any attention to what their kids eat, how much they eat, and they dont make them do anything althletic. I think it is a cop-out to say video games make kids fat. I grew up on video games and I am not fat at all. So you cant say video games make kids fat.

you gotta take a sample size and compare a group who play games extensively to those who play them moderately to those who don't and see the differences

It's not idiotic man. There are lots of stories about how proud parents are that the Wii has gotten their kids in better health ... WTF? If they were outside playing with others they may get:

1. Better socialization skills (and these lil bastids need it!) with more interaction with *real* people, not digital people.
2. Better health due to calorie burning, vitamin D and belive it or not, falling down and getting hit strengthens the body and the mind
3. Less dependency on electronic devices

The parents are somewhat at fault, but the kids can't afford their own Wii systems, cell phone, cell phone bill, etc. The kids should be able to look at themselves and do something about their own health, both physical and mental.

There are too many variables to say games and the internet make kids fat. You have to account for genetic history, the availibility and ease of fast food/junk food, eating patterns, how much exercise they get, etc.

Ah, the good old days of: "come home when the street lights are on!" ... I don't know what fascinates kids to play games instead of being outside. My parents would kick us out, and this was south Boston, not suburbia.

Some of these kids just freak out when they hear "no" ... turn into columbine shooters, total disrespect for their parents, selfish, self-centered and self-absorbed. It's what's to be expected for parents switching from a beating to the "time out" bullshit. Shit, kids love a timeout in their rooms, it's like a video game outlet in there!
