I'm a loser baby...
Yeah, title pretty much says it all.
So far here is the list of things I've done to my Si. 1) Curbed not one but two of my new Traklites. Separate occasions mind you. 2) Burnt a hole in my seat and one of my floor mats. 3) Put major swirlies in my paint by washing/waxing with old t-shirts instead of using something proper. 4) Have 5 spots on my car where the paint was burned off practically to the metal by battery acid. These spots are about the size of this smiley face. Naturally all of these events could of been avoided if I wasn't a...everyone...LOSER #4 just happened last weekend. I was at my buddy's shop playing some guitar. Another of his friends needed to jump start his bike. Somehow his battery caught fire then exploded while it was connected to the truck. My car was parked right next to it. Did I move my car like a normal person? Of course not. Did I check my car to make sure no acid got on it? No, I am not a normal person. I just kept drinking my beer with my buddies confident that no acid could of splashed on my car. I really don't deserve my car. Maybe she is making 2nd grind to get back at me. You're no more of a loser than the rest of us. Hey, stuff happens. Yeah, one can say later that it was unavoidable, but that's playing Monday morning quaterback.
Very few of us here have been fortunate enough to avoid some level of incident with our rides. If you think that will continue, then I say the odds are increasingly against you as time goes by. Eventually, something bad will happen. Let's hope it's just something that can be repaired or replaced. |

Haha, you guys are too funny. I'm glad I didn't mention that I'm 33 and still doing stupid crap like this.
As for the truck jumping the bike, I actually mentioned that but they were convinced that since they were both 12 volt batteries it wouldn't be a problem. |

I'm not gonna tell them anything next time as I won't be anywhere near their next "project". I just wonder if I should bother trying to get one to fix my paint or just write it off as an adventure with a pair of asshats .
You know, the more I think about this the more pissed I get. How the hell can you own a motorcycle and not know about how to jump start it? Everyone I spoke to has said the same thing. Basically, you can jump start off a car but you don't start the car's motor because it could destroy the motorcycle's charging system and could cause a fire. F'ing asshats!
