How Much is this Worth???

My cousin got hotten bit by the Si bug. He searching around for something he can afford ever since his truck got stolen. He found this one http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ce=&cardist=18 and talked to the guy about it. He didnt give me specifics but it has I/H/E. I dont have any experience pricing out used cars, especially with mods on them. If you guys were going to buy this what offer would you throw the guy? He has it for 10K but says he'll take any good offers. Any insite....

10k sounds like a really good deal to me.

SIR's around here usually go for over 16 or 17 grand canadian. Alittle high on the mileage but aslong as that doesent bother him- I dont see any reasons why he shouldnt check it out.

$8750 is the average auction price. That doesn't include any mods, you'll have to value those yourself. What's a I/H/E worth TO YOUR FRIEND? I'd probably offer 9,000 if it's in GREAT shape, 8,500 if it's average.

He's not gonna get very much money out of the aftermarket stuff he put on there so I'd say take the www.kbb.com price for the car and then add that to an estimate of how much money is in it for aftermarket divided by 3 or maybe even 4 for a rough estimate.

Blue book of car + (Aftermarket parts value/3[or 4]) = what its worth.

I'm going to go check it out in person this weekend with my cousin to make sure everything is in order. I'll probably tell me to shoot him an offer of 8K or so and see what the guy says. The pic he has isnt the best, I did notice the side skirts look a little uneven.

I checked EPhatch.com but could not find a for sale section for members selling there cars.( I didnt register, I dont know if that would of made a difference or not) Anyone know of any other popular forums for the EP3's

I tried to warn him about that, He's driven my Fg2, but he's a hatch lover. It was either an Ep3 or he's looking to get a GTI VR6, He just cant seem to find one.
