so i just watched the new episode of man vs. wild. and how much of a bad ass is bear?! anyone else love this show? haha

The show is interesting. There's no denying this. However, with that said, am I the only person who misses when educational shows were more nature-centric & less like reality shows (ie the show would follow a certain wolf or bear or something or tell the story of a national park, etc)?

the alaska episode was the best so far... holy sh*t, when his boat started sinking in the ice berg water!!!

I saw a preview for some new TV show where guys are gonna be racing Big Rigs on the ice in like Antarctica or something...Did anyone else see that??

Ice Road Truckers. It's not racing the big rigs-- they do deliveries to remote factories, etc.

I like Man Vs. Wild and Survivorman as well.

The stuff Bear does is crazy though, I think Les is a bit more realistic.

survivorman is the one that's fake.

He couldn't possibly lug all that gear by himself, say, set up a tripod 100m away so he can walk past it at different angles, etc...the extra effort would kill him...

plus, you can see shadows of boom mic's in some of the episodes.

However, Man vs. Wild is sweet, Bear is crazy.
