My Wild/Crazy Night

So about two weeks ago my cousins truck gets stolen from the bowling alley he works at. They got it on video but it didn't help the cops track anyone down. Well last night I get off work about my usually time 11:45 and start driving home. I'm two miles from downtown Atlanta and all traffic stops. So I'm sitting in traffic and I see my cousins truck roll by me. I'm thinking, out of all the cars in Atlanta what are the chances. So I start following him, he gets all the way over to the shoulder and proceeds to driver up on on-ramp illegally so he wouldn't have to sit in traffic. At this time I'm on the phone with 911 trying to get a cop out here to stop the guy. I follow him up the wrong way on the on ramp and we proceed into Southwest Atlanta ( Worst possible place to be in Atlanta, especially at night, Ghetto central) So I keep 911 updated with what streets the guys on, while we are weaving in and out of traffic. Then we stop at a stop light and I see him looking out the window yelling, WTF you doing man. Then he stops the truck and jumps out, At this point, I'm like I'm screwed, so I hightail it around him and run a red light, didn't want to find out if he had a gun. Ended up losing him there. I guess he figured out I was following him and did not like it. That was my crazy night, just wanted to rant. Thanks for listening

No They never caught the guy, in the neighborhood we were in, I had little faith in the cops. The one time I driver abou 6-7 blocks in ATL, and I dont see a cop.

It was a black skinny guy with dreads, All of SW Atlanta is now a suspect. I didnt get any good details. I was freaking out cause he was walking over to my car and he wasnt happy I was following him.

That is crazy! That really sucks that even after you tried all you could to help out and get your friends truck back, the cops couldn't even ASSIST you in taking him down... pretty sad the cops couldnt catch the guy even with a location. Piss poor law enforcement!

Man people are stupid. Steal a car, then drive around the same neighborhood that you stole the car from.

I mean at least transport the truck to another county or city at least.

The truck was orginally stolen 20 miles south of ATL in the burbs at my cousins job. I had just happened to take an different way home from work so it would take my through the city. I'm very disapointed in the lack of law enforcement in that area. And another thing that pist me off was the 911 operator did not care one bit. The lack of concern in her voice made me want to catch this guy myself. The ironic thing was, after I made it out of the Ghetto and made my way to the other side of ATL to get back on the interstate, I see 3, yes 3 ATL officers questioning a homeless guy at a gas station. I think I'm just going to get a gun and starting passing out street justice.

thats why you should of had a gun and pointed it at him. I def would of got out and held him at gunpoint, call one your pals, to come and take the truck. and call the cops of course.
