finally met a cool sti/ (owner of any car faster than mine)

driving home tonight im at a red light and a sti pulls up next to me, i had my windows down and he rolls his down, at this point im expecting to hear comments like that car is ***, or its slow, or hondas suck, the list could go on and on and on. any way this guy was like hey man nice ride, i was shocked, he asked how i liked it, and told me that it sounded nice, just figured id share this with you guys, do you get this alot, they think they got a faster car so theyre cool or somethng.

i get a few compliements a day from just my stock si. its crazy how the new si's are sooo damn pretty

I have a Sti on top of my civic and i will stop on a dime to appreciate any car that deserves attention. (an si being 1)

You shouldn't have to ask this question. Our cars are great. People have this image that Hondas, Civics in particular, are usualy tackily made up and an assualt on the eyes. When people choose not to go that route, they get a different reaction. Our cars - teh sex. Learn it, live it, love it.

I had an STI guy do the same thing to me at a stop light. He asked how much the car was and the specs, then asked if I wanted a friendly run at green. I said why not. Was a pretty cool guy, gave the thumbs up when I passed him after he slowed down lol!

I got a spontaneous compliment at a stop light today on the way home from work. A guy in next lane motioned for me to roll down the window. I almost figured I was going to get shot; he said "Great car!". I thanked him profusely and wished him a good evening.

I had a lady about in her 30's catch up to me and signaled me to roll down my window. ( I think damn, what does she want). she yells out, "is that a real Si?" I tell her ya, its an 06. She says she has a 99 and loves it. We were kinda holding up traffic so the last thing she says is. "Hit it, you know what I want to hear " Made me feel real good.

I can't say I ever get compliments on my 07 Si NHBP. But I DO however get all sorts of people who feel like they need to rev up their cars, no matter what kinda car it is. Honda civic's just get all kinds of stupid people acting a fool you know?. Like today, looked like an 03 or 04 EVO (yellow) I was at a stop light comming home from work and this EVO thought it was cute to pull next to me going like 45 or so and then hits his gears and floors it and shows off his turbo and BOV and all that good stuff. I wasn't even going fast or anything. I always smirk cause the POWER of "NEED" for someone/ANYONE! with a slightly fast car thinking they ABSOLUTELY need to do these things around HONDA Civic's-ESPECIALLY AN Si .....it's bizzar.
