Heard Some News @ Work.....

Current Job: 2nd Asst. Manager/Technician Monro Muffler/BJs Tire Center

well lets see.....I went on vacation last Friday the 1st and returned just last night on the 9th. Upon me leaving for my vacation everything was fine and just went on vacation thinking i'd be coming back to work my normal stuff.....welllll come the next day after my return from my vacation i get a voicemail from my Manager stating "Mike, when you get this you need to stop by the shop. We need to talk in person". So im automatically thinking shit im canned. I call him back to find out he wont tell me anything over the phone and says it wouldnt be "proper"....so when you hear that, you start thinking some nasty shit is going down. right??

So long story short....it turns out a Manager of another shop couple towns over called and requested for me to transfer working under his supervision, and i start TOMORROW!! WTF?

Im kinda torn b/c i like where i work, just i cant learn anymore here with the people we got and i wanna get more skills and the money aint there b/c my paycheck works off comission and "big jobs" are rare where as the new shop is where its at, also i'll be 1 or 4 working there including a manager oppose to 1 of 8 where im now, so not as much fighting for work......and once im there i will get the training and work under him as a full asst manager and i recieve a end of the year bonus recieve 10% of the shops income for the year.....so i really dunno what to make of it....came home from vacation and the GM wants to move me to a "real" shop and get me training for a future promotion....but came outa no where......What is this considered? promotion? transfer? or shafting?

Sorry guys lol Probly doesnt make any sense with my blabbing but i needed to vent lol

oh i know...im not gonna rag on them, just i wish i was involved in this "transaction" where as im being told "you go here" The dude requested me & the GM liked the idea & made it official

well at that time i was just finishing talking to my manager and didnt really know the full story lol I was shitting bricks on the drive over, not knowing if i had a damn job still the way the dude was talking

I know how you feel, once you get settled you dont want to have to resettle. Its just human psyche , our brainset is that we do not like change, any kind of change. Be it a change in life style a change in the daily workings

it just sucks b/c im going from doing what i want when i want to not knowing if i'll have ANY freedoms like i had.....also i have ALOT shit to be transfered, toolbox's, random useless stuff i have, ALL my parts i took off my Si tucker in the corner lol
