YAY ME! So I got promoted

Well I finally go the promotion I have been after for the last two years. I went from Correctional Officer to Correctional Counselor. Other than the pay raise, this job secures a Monday through Friday, weekends and Holidays off schedule for me.

Anyone interested in a job with high pay and great benefits working for the California Department of Corrections, please let me know.

I have been adult babysitting for 9 years. It can be a rewarding career.

I have no doubt it can be. Just like some people say the military can be rewarding. But my first reaction was OMG. A prison guard! In California!

If you are going to be a Prison Guard, there is no better place to be one. I gave up a career in nursing for this.

Really, I'm not downing you man. It's just when you think of crazy people, you think of California. So I put 2 & 2 together. It's like a stereotype but it's about a state so it doesn't count, hahaha. I'm sure you have a great job since you take so much pride in it. You have a job you like to do. A lot of people search their whole lives for that.
