That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. The RAZr was like $400+ when it came out, everyoen HADDD to have one...now they can't give the fu*kers away. They are such crappy phones.

I'm not looking forward to it either. Yet another overpriced, flashy piece of tech from Apple.

Want a reliable phone? Go to people who have been making them for decades... Nokia and Sony Ericsson.

I fixed that for ya. ^brings up an excellent point though. Dont get me wrong because it would be cool to have but its gonna be a while before they ripen into a solid product.

im sorry but trying to compare the iphone to the razr is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. price points mayb, but other then that you would have to be blind not to see the difference. This phone is running a full mac osx and for anyone that knows about computers it is one of the most reliable operating systems, unlike windows mobile, which is a watered down piece of crap. What this means is that the phone can run actual apps like safari to surf the web, and itunes for the ipod. you are basically getting a 8gb ipod along with a full touch screen phone. i understand a lot of people dont want to pay the price for this phone, but doesnt mean you can just rip the phone apart and say it is going to suck not knowing a thing about it.

If I hear one more tight pink shirt wearing, aviator sunglass donning, spiked bleach blonde hair fitted, stick up their ass *** guy I know saying how marvolous they and their mac and soon to be iPhone are, I might just hit them with my Civic and write it off as doing society a favor.

Overpriced and overrated, much like 90% of the phones out there today, only this one is from Apple, has cool features, and automatically will have the music loving, egocentrics, iPod loving crowd going ape shit over it because it has a bitten apple on it.

PASS.

^must suck hearing that all the time, mayb its time to move? i have never heard of anyone else having a problem about an item like this which is intended for "tech savvy" people, having tight pink shirt wearing and so on people excited for this phone. i would bet 95% of the people that get this phone are nothing like ur description.

i wanna get one but im gonna wait till the price goes down and a newer model comes out (maybe 6 months) and the camera is only 2 megapixels? i know thats good for a phone but for 600 (the price of a ps3) you should expect better.

My point is that it seems everyone hyped about this phone is blind, deaf, and dumb to everything but their Godly Apple stuff.

I'm not denying its a cute little phone, with nice features, but I do not, for one, use my phone for much more than an occasional text message and maybe a few calls.

If you use your phone as your life and would jump off a cliff to save it, maybe then an iPhone is for you. It's just not a practical investment for me.

Honestly, I have to agree with this. The only phone I'll ever use again is a Sony Ericsson. Even if the W600 I currently have has been replaced 5 times in a year to WSOD.

I'm sure if you used 3g on it, it should last a day. And they could offer a replaceable battery, so its not a slave to the wall, and you can charge a secondary battery like one does with the blackjack. This phone is like a Wii (Sure.. it has new tech like the controllers.. but it doesnt play hd-dvd's if I'm not mistaken.. ) at ps3 pricing.. which will entail a certain bling factor. I think that the phone will hit the streets at the marketed price, but drop fairly quickly as it will only sell to the huge phone geeks (gotta be.. cause I'm a phone whore and I wont even get it..).. but will drop fairly quickly.. and stay at around 400 until something new comes out. The release at 600 will make people think that it at 400 is a steal. I paid 400 for my 8525, and it was a great phone, it was just too big for my pocket. Also, I'm at my house wayy too much now that school is out for me to be getting email on my phone ;]. But to counter ringpop's response.. I could make great use out of a phone like this if I was off in college in a dorm room without reliable internet. I'd just have to have 3g ;].

Gotta love the WSODs on Sony Ericssons!

My K750i = well-built and feature-packed!

And SE support is absolutely the best. My battery failed, and they sent me a replacement by priority overnight! One time my joystick wasn't responsive, they sent me a brand new unit within a week!

I was not even close to comparing the two phones. I was just stating the hype that surrounded the release of the Razr and everything, and it's high price point, and then finding out the phone is a flop, it breaks easy, it was slow, it froze all the time..blah blah blah. Now..there is a new "expensive, tech savvy" phone coming out, people are all excited about it, and it could be a flop just like the Razr was. By all means was I comparing what either phone can do, what its functions are or what operating system it runs on.

^i got u, im just saying that the 2 phones almost almost like comparing apples and oranges. i just think this phone is going to spark a new kind of phone for all companies to start making, which is really big. even if the first iphone isnt the best thing ever, which i think it will be close to, it will lead to a new revolution of phones.
