Hey I dont have any type of feminine connotation it my name whatsoever. I have me as my avatar, and still get mistaken as a male... I have used akai with the combination of 6, 06, or even 006 for almost 10 years now and im not changing it anytime soon.

I agree, but i dunno i speaks for myself that i wont waste miles on my si to go sleep with some guy from the forum. Some girls might be here for the attention but im here for my car not guys. although finding a hot guy who wants to help me change my oil might b nice lol. J/k

Sorry if it came off that this thread was directed at you, because I didnt' intend for that. And while you have your opinions on this, I still stand behind the fact that a majority of the women who put "chick", "girl", "babe" etc in their names do it solely for the attention they get from it. Maybe that's not how it is for you, but it is for a lot of them.

Well I apologise for taking it personal. You and I have bumped heads a few times so I felt there was a pattern and when you named me and only me I did see it as an attack. I apologise for that.

I do not remember that thread. I'm not saying I didn't make a comment, I'm just saying that I don't remember what thread it was. Was it about a car show? But remember this, we have different tastes. I'm straight but I have no problem saying a chick is hot, sexy whatever. Women are beautiful creatures. I may have been expressing my personal taste just as you expressed yours. Okay. As far as the rest of your statement up there, yeah. Alot of them do. I'm on honda-girls.com and guys come to the site with names that have "dude", "guy", and "man" in there. Whatever their purposes are for doing so, they're stating that they are the minority there. I never really gave it as much thought as you did. I just saw them as expressions of who they are. But now that you've pointed it out, I'm gonna think that everytime I see a name with "Chick" or "Dude" in it so Thanks!

Girls like you are the kind of girls I want to hang out with. Unfortunately, I only find them on forums. If I say hey to another girl in a nice car, I either get nasty attitude or "it's my boyfriends but thanks!" I want to hang out with women like me. They can talk cars and talk about girl stuff. Most of my friends are guys and sometimes it depresses me. It's hard finding women I can hang out with. The frivilous male attractors with one track minds irritate the hell out of me.

1.do they love cars

2. do they posses knowledge or the drive to be knowledgable so that our community is bettered by their being here.

So..there seems to be somewhat of a problem with females putting something in their name that denotes them as a female but noone cares when we males do it...example "caliguy"(not to single you out caliguy but you were the first name I could think of besides my own).I think this is about the lowest thing to B!tch about besides ones race and religion.If it bothers you then ignore it or try to realize that just because someone is this or that does'nt mean they are'nt serious about the theme of this forum...I'm done ranting,it's taking up my time looking up useful information,some of which has been posted by "chicks/gurls/girls".

I didn't read this whole thread, too tired, but I'll say in my case, I was told (by friends/bro) not to indicate that I am a girl in my name as I would most definitely get harassed. But, that being said, I find there are only a handful of people that are like that and the rest are just fine.

It gets annoying (at least to me) trying to type like a guy, or I think I would constantly have to remind people that I was female, and it does matter especially in threads that are opinion based or questions about non-car stuff (water-cooler).
On another forum actually I had a different name and the worst was the guy that types like this "no worries guy" or "I feel you bro" etc etc. (these exist everywhere)
I'm a female, why shouldn't I be able to use that in my name?
