Quiz: How Old Are You Really?

I see several of the members here who proclaim they're old. Here's a test to see how old you really are.

From the following list of 25 items, count all the ones that you remember -- not the ones you were told about! How to score yourself is at the end.

1. Blackjack chewing gum
2. Wax Coke-shaped bottles with colored sugar-water
3. Candy cigarettes
4. Soda-pop machines that dispensed bottles
5. Coffee shops with tableside jukeboxes
6. Home milk delivery in glass bottles with cardboard stoppers
7. Party lines
8. Newsreels before the movie
9. P. F. Flyers
10. Butch wax
11. Telephone numbers with a word prefix (e.g., Olive - 6933)
12. Peashooters
13. Howdy Doody
14. 45-RPM records ... and 78-RPM records
15. S&H Green Stamps
16. Hi-fi systems
17. Metal ice trays with lever
18. Mimeograph paper
19. Blue flashbulb
20. Packards
21. Rollerskate keys
22. Cork popguns
23. Drive-in theaters
24. Studebakers
25. Washtub wringers

If you remembered!
0 - 5 = You're still young
6 - 10 = You are getting older
11 - 15 = Don't tell your age
16 - 25 = You're older than you think!

I love candy cigarettes.

I actually have some candy "sticks" in my car right now, I hate p.c. candy.

I remember all of them... ugh.

The mimeograph paper makes me think of the scene from Ferris Buhler's Day Off (1986)... when the teacher hands out the mimeographed tests, and all of the kids sniff it. I don't know why, but we always did that too. Funny.

from Wikipedia:

The smell

Freshly-inked mimeograph paper has a strong characteristic odour, as attested to by Bill Bryson in his memoir The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid. He writes "Of all the tragic losses since the 1960s, mimeograph paper may be the greatest. With its rapturously fragrant, sweetly aromatic pale blue ink, mimeograph paper was literally intoxicating. Two deep drafts of a freshly run-off mimeograph worksheet and I would be the education system’s willing slave for up to seven hours."

But yeah I'm 23 and I got 1 point for Candy Jacks. Guess I'm young after all.

This looks like one of those myspace bulletins that make no sense to me. I can give you a number but that doesn't do anything because you don't know which ones I picked. I don't see the point here...

10. It's hair wax for men (or women I suppose) with a "flat top" haircut
14. Different speed records (different sizes if I recall correctly)
18. I think it's ditto paper?

Can't help with the rest...
