first car you wanted as a kid and the first car u actually got

bored at work thread..
so my brother pointed out to me when i got my civic that it was the first car i really took an interest to as a kid (i'm 20 now) and now it was my first new car (prev drove used celica). I originally fell in love w/ the civic from fast n furious (the colors drew me in, soooo innocent) and i would right up lists of what modifications i wanted to get for my civic when i got one, but after a while i left the idea and moved on through different car phases; jeeps, bmw, audi, xterra's, etc. when i went to go purchase my first new car i was originally all set for the scion tC, but after looking through all dealerships on long island asking for a black one (i love black) to no avail i finally took a trip to the honda dealership. After taking a drive in teh sedan (hated it) i decided to get the coupe b/c it was in black and the steering wheel controls etc. in the ex model would placate me b/c i really needed a car and couldn't wait for one. Now i have my nhp coupe and i love her, got the mod bug that i'm trying to control and laugh to myself everytime i look at her reminding myself how life seemed to have come full circle.
I know this is long but i was just wondering if you guys had wanted a civic from day one or what, lol.

First car I wanted was a gsr. The car I got, 2000 grand am gt with 180,000 miles on it.

Now I have my civic si sedan and I LOVE it

i wanted my dads 95 accord v6. big honda family, only branched out of honda twice and that was for my moms 98 nissan maxima (mothers day present) which became mine when i started driving, because we got he a 02 toyota highlander.

My first car was a 2dr 90 accord..

I've pretty much been honda since.. I'm on my fourth. Had two accords, and 03 civic before this one, my 07 civic :-)

Im going to leave out the in between cars, haha.

The Shelby GT500 from gone in 60 seconds

was the first car that i really reaaaaaaaaaaally liked (and still want it) and then changed it to the new mustang... first car i got was a used 2003 red jetta (hated it) and then my civic :)

When i was younger and got into cars i really wanted a bmw m3....my first car was a 1990 grand prix with broken odometer and two-tone paint job (red car white hood thanks to my moms driving)...it was the WORST but it made me appreciate my civic so much more

Always wanted a 5.0 Fox Body mustang....ended up with a 1981 Honda Accord Hatch. Not quite what I wanted but it lead to me having a love for Honda's!!!!!!
