It's an option from TRD.

None come from Aichi, Japan (point of assembly) supercharged.

You can buy a supercharger from other companies, as someone said above.

Scion tC's have two models: the Spec (which is 1 grand cheaper for heavy tuners) and the regular tC.

The Spec?? Never heard of it. BUt the good thing about the TRD s/c is that it keeps the car under warranty. But still.... I'd rather save the money and get a better car.

From what I hear though, it doesn't hold a candle to the Si in handling, supercharger or not (not that that makes any difference).

The Spec model has a solid sunroof, different, cheaper wheels, and a few other deletions that tuners would just redo anyways. It's like 1K cheaper.

I tried to tell my buddy that tc's suck, but he won't listen. He ended up totalling it just before he went to bootcamp. I'm tryin to get him into the si or the types, but I think he's gonna go with the tc again.

Ya our cars might be "just Civics" and "slow" but Scion TC owners are so delusional. We, for the most part, agree that our cars aren't the fastest cars around... but after checking out Scion life & a few other TC forums.... those guys think its a supercar. Its not good if you can get beat by a base Mazda6i

Scion owners are like Apple PC owners. Zealots.

I don't think it is fair to generalize and say that Scion owners are all zealots or idiots, to be honest.

I've met some really fair, objective tC owners, and I've met some really big idiots, too.

I've also had my fair share of Honda's idiots and people who are so blind to what is another decent car that they automatically have to belittle any vehicle that is not their own Honda.

It's a two way road, really.

True. I've hung out with a few who actually knew about cars. One of them actually had a TC with about 260 whp. I have respect for those people and their cars. But its the stupid ignorant ones that really make me dislike Scion TC's in general.

They don't come with it. It's a factory performance part. They won't install it. They won't add it to the "bill" (ie, can't be financed). However it is covered in the warranty. Jumps the tC to ~201hp.

That's the info I got when I was looking at the tC's before getting my Si

I like the tC. Come well equipped and have a huge aftermarket for them. You honda fanbois get so f**king annoying sometimes.
