Immigration Law

I'll be short.. There's one "Bill coming out" which gives the legal status to 12-million illegal aliens.. What do you think about it? Will it help the country and its immigratory system? ... comments? :)

you cant make a system where you encourage illegal aliens and then all of a sudden kick them out.

those who are in already should become leagal.

as for the future, the government needs stop pretending as if they dont want illegals working here but act as if they do want them.

pick a damn side.

I am by all means against Illegals, i posted my opinion before(some copied from articles and other peoples thought);

Quote:
People seem to be confused with the differences between ILLEGAL and LEGAL immigration, YOU HAVE TO go thru a PROCESS called CITIZENSHIP like every other LEGAL person from other country, it doesn't matter if your Mexican or not.

These people get free health insurance, DO NOT pay taxes, and drive with no license or insurance. They take advantage of our tax dollars for their welfare and education and steal our jobs.

We need border security first before we do any illegal immigration bills, since they(illegals) don't care if they break the law anyways.

You can't just have any poor people come to the U.S. illegally, We have laws, no excuses. We aren't the worlds hospitality where all the poor can just join in illegally.

They have to wait patiently like other immigrants that want to come here legally that may take up to 10 years. No shortcuts, back of the line.
Why won't they stay in Mexico and help rebuild its country?
if Mexicans love America so much, they should follow the law and come here legally

Fact is, they send 50% of their money (if not more) back to their families in Mexico or wherever. They don't keep any of their money in banks (can't, don't have a ssn), buy used cars with cash, and most don't have any kind of insurance at all. Yet, there are organizations all over the country willing to help those, that are here illegally, to find jobs, take care of their kids, and give them food and places to live.

Tax payers are paying millions a day for the prisoners, 30% are illegals in federal prison

"Let's not bid down the wages of the people of America with foreign labor," said Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Huntington Beach.

Point is that controlled immigration is important. Recognizing that these people do add to our country in many ways while still having some sort of order and security is essential. No one is against immigration, they're against illegal immigration. Why not allow more legals to come across? Labor demand is met and we can control the flow of people and goods across the border.
This bill by the govt just screwed americans. The first bill was to make felony for illegals which i favored but died because no more majority votes from republicans.

i dont know who's saying what but ill just point out a few things.

"People seem to be confused with the differences between ILLEGAL and LEGAL immigration, YOU HAVE TO go thru a PROCESS called CITIZENSHIP like every other LEGAL person from other country, it doesn't matter if your Mexican or not."

this person is confused. you dont need to ba a ctizen to be in the US leagally. you dont even need to be a leagal resident to be in the US leagally.

"

the dont get free health insurance. natural citizens dont get free health insurance i dont know where this is from.

"We need border security first before we do any illegal immigration bills, since they(illegals) don't care if they break the law anyways."

i think your vastly underestimating the number of people who enter the US leagally, (under work or student visa's for example) but just never leave. border security is a gigantic waste of money. for one thing, its WAY WAY to much for the governemt to spend to actually make an effective border that actually covers the whole 2000 miles. (and even if they could, they dont want to). the several sections of piss poor fence planned make up like 700 miles total, and is really just there to make it look like the government cares.

Only one thing to add..
I waited 3 yrs for my Green Card, and now we have "SOME" (not all), ppl, that drink and drive, don't pay taxes, **** with the economy (sending all the money to their countries), don't want to learn the LANGUAGE(english), and still think own the place.. WTF
So now that I waited so long, and my sister is still waiting (more than 4 yrs), to follow the process, and don't break any immigration laws, they just come and give papers to everybody?
I know, a good % just work and don't do any harm.. But, there's still a LARGE % of ppl.. that just don't "fit" ..
2 Weeks ago, I went to a Court Hearing..
One guy didn't speak english, so they called an interpreter..
The judge read the paperwork and said that he was charged with reckless driving and some other stuff, and could get up to 3 months in jail.. When the judge stopped speaking, the guy said: - " No sr, you don't understand.. I just want to pay the fee and get out"...
Some ppl just don't respect the law!

oh, they definetly help the economy. ALOT. by taking high labor jobs at low wages, they keep the minimum wage up for example. buying houses and cars helps the economy. they also bring business to mom and pop shops which really need the help, which in turn increases the tax levy on their property, that money goes to the city. they Definetly help the economy more than they hurt it. its precisley why the government doesnt make an effort to put a stop to it, they are even now having, 'guest worker bill' where an immigrant can work temorarily and then go back. yeah right, the government knows many will just stay.

Now, here I am stays legal on working visa, pay tax just like everyone else, working my way up to get a lawful resident, might going to takes about 5 to 6 years to become citizenship (still not garantee to get it :depending on my emplyeer's mod).If my boss feels like it, they can supponsor ( which is the key) or they can kick us out and we will be back where we come from WTF. See.. I paid my price, I live with it, under the current law, No free lunch, working so hard to reach this far and then these illegel fogs out there out of blue would get a path to citizen? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!
