I can understand how it might be different with people like bellman or doormen, but anybody who knows anything about anything should know to tip valets, just like people should know to tip bartenders/waiters/waitresses. We tend to valet for people born into money who have their heads so far up their asses that they don't know anything about real life. They don't know the value of a dollar.

You just talked yourself into a corner with that one. Don't get mad when you expect such behavior (not tipping) from these people.
Btw, it's not overly obvious that a valet MUST be tipped.

I just get upset because there are so many people in america who are so rich and have no idea about life. Like, they are born rich and will more than likely die rich. I have much more respect for people who started with nothing. That's it, and they all think we're some punk kids who are in a class under them, when we ourselves are in college and have the potential to attend these "high class" events. And it is kind of obvious that a valet should be tipped, especially when the people waiting for their cars see other people tipping.

And yeah, I just wanted to add that it's totally different working for tips than it is for a salary. And it's hard to understand living off tips if you've never done so yourself. That is all.

I only read the first few pages, and it's very true, don't screw with the people who make your food. Even if they are in the wrong. Its not worth it.

In restaurant situations, try to carry a good 9 or 10 extra pennies. Bad service or an asshole waiter? Well just be nice and passive until you get your food. When tip time comes, they get a nice smiley face made out of pennies. I've done it multiple times... it's hilarious.

You're basically pulling the opposite of what Hooters girls do (or other girls at T&A restaurants). Most of the time they give you shitty service until the food comes out and then it's time for them to 'work the tip.' Try it, it works, and you don't get mansauce or pubes in your food.
