hey y'all don't buy gas as a protest to gas prices, if enough people do it acorss america and the world it is possible that the impact on the gas companies will be significant enough to see those gas prices drop. this tactic of boycotting the gas prices was done in 1993 and caused the gas prices to drop nearly 30 cents, so lets try to get those gas prices lower, so we can spend our money on something better. remember its may 15th=no gas at all.

this wont do anything. i dont know what your talking about,for 1993. gas was like $1.10 in '93. it did NOT drop to 80c at any time in 93 i can tell you that.

this is flawed in many many many ways.

this is the 'easy' way of doing it. no one will miss gas for a day, and thats precisly why it will not work.

if you want to do anything you need to permanantly reduce your gas consumption. that means carpooling, driving less, and buying more fuel efficient cars.

if people used less gas on a daily basis, gas companies would have less leverage to use higher gas prices, and prices would come down.

skipping one day of gas means that you fill more gas on the next day or the previous day to compensate. this is the lazy way and all it does is make SUV owners feel better about themselves .
