My girl used to hate the fact that I was getting into cars so much, but now she's getting into them too.
The other day she called me up and said "I was just on my way to work and saw a really pretty ep3 with a lip kit.. that's the hatchback si right? The ep3?"

I love 'er

My g/f does not know to much about cars in general, but she will listen to me when I talk to her about them. She is even getting use to me driving it, I remember when I would she would stop whatever she was saying and hold on tight. Now she can actually finish what she is saying, but I still see them little knuckles get white on my passenger door handle. Although it is not final, I think I have talked her into trading in the Saturn for Lancer, due to the paddle shifter...we shall see

Ah! My girl wants a new lancer for the paddle shifters.. I just told her that if we got a new car we would just get a used ep3 and it would be hers after I got a project car off the ground. She needs to learn how to drive m/t anyways.

My wife doesn't know crap about cars. She really only knows whether hers is clean or dirty. And she gets on me all the time about spending money to upgrade a new car... But she's hot so that makes up for most of it.

My fiance is really happy that I'm happy, even if she doesn't understand why I spend the money that I do on my civi. I got a little scared though when we bought her an imprezza and all she cared about was color and if it had power windows.

Oh well, that means I can spend money, but I don't have to worry about justification because she's happy so long as her windows go up and down quickly

I don't know if this directly applies, but my old shop teacher used to say "if its got tits or tires...it's going to be trouble!"

my wife knows about cars and understands my love for them..she has the general knowledge of what a cam, head, intake, exhaust and other major parts of/in the motor are used for and what they do..one time she actually proved a guy wrong about something to do with car parts..she can tell the difference between cars and can recognize unique features on certain cars like AMG's and M's...she also gets excited and knows the name of almost every exotic car..

I think to some degree, girls shoudl know about cars. This prevents them from becoming easy prey when repair time comes around. There is alot of preventative car maintence that your average female can learn to avoid costly repairs. Things such as basic oil checks, raidator fluid, power steering, clutch reservoir, brakes fluid ...etc all can be performed in under 20 minutes.

Back in the days, I had my ignition coil pack go out (it cracked in half due to the heat), and a mechanic wanted to charge me 200$ to swap out the " wire to the distribution pack that controls the timing" as according to the mechanic. I recall my BF removing his to change out a faulty valve cover gasket a few months back, and it looked extremely easy. Hence I decline the order.

A quick call, and he picked up a replacement from NAPA for 60$, 10 minutes later, I swapped out the coil pack right in front of the garage. We ended up saving 140$, and I took him out to Outback steak house that weekend.

Here is me working on a Rally car...

Plenty more at Rallynotes.com

Oh! here is an acquaintence that shoudl get some of you single cars nuts drooling.

Rallyestar.com.

Her name is Lisa, and she drives a EVO 6, drift S-14, and an in progress Pikes Peak EVO 8. Did I mention this past month, she took the Rim of the World rally champinoships.
