i appreciate everyones responses...everyone was very informative...
now what i dont understand is how the salvia is 100% legal, and weed isnt...
but thats a whole different debate on its own..

found that in some text...to be honest if i had diarrhea, and smoked salvia, i think i would shit my pants :O

LMAO, diarrhea. Yea i dunno how its legal either if it has extreme effects like this. Give it a little bit i bet it'll go illegal one of these days.

some people get the salvia trip, some don't.

Salvia only lasts 10-15 minutes.

I remember trying it once when a friend brought it, at a party. Confined ourselves to a couch in a room. Don't enjoy smoking at all, but somewhat "enjoyed" salvia (if I can say that?). Believe it was 12x.

Tried it later that night when we were all outside. I remember looking down at a gravel path and thinking I was in space, with all the gravel as starts/planets. Scared the hell out of me.

It would be difficult to make it illegal, being that all the studies show that there are no negative side effects...

In re to the medicinal uses. They don't smoke it. They eat the leaves. When Salvia is not concentrated it does not have the "mind-blowing" effect...unless you smoked a ton of it...and honestly, even then, I don't think you could smoke enough in a short enough period to get anything more than a mild buzz.

I apparently have a high tolerance for the stuff. I can still control myself and thoughts (to some extent) even after smoking a full load of 20x...I will concede that it is more powerful that LSD or shrooms (however very short lasted). The only think I've had that was stronger was DMT...

Scientific name "Salvia Divinorum" aka: Diviners Sage, Common name: Salvia

The 5x, 12x, etc is how concentrated it is...I've concentrated it myself...Very easy...

I know what you mean...we are the few the proud my friend...Most people freak on this stuff. I have friends that have done over 200 hits of acid (not all at once) and countess other drugs and Salvia scares the crap out of them...

Hell, I think I'll smoke some of my home grown 20x tonight!

The trip is VERY intense for no more than 5 minutes...After effects for up to 20 min (mild)...after that all is good. No known side effects at all...As said above, please, please educate yourself before trying any substance illegal or not!

Guys/gals: Please be very careful with "legal drugs"! Many are dangerous/deadly! Salvia is not one of those, but don;t think because it's legal that it wont f**k you up! I recommend reading "Legal Highs" for good information...

BCJ mentioned "Datura"---This stuff can be deadly for example!
