They depicted that in the movie Backdraft...I thought it was awesome myself...serves them right. Too add insult to injury...first of all he isn't going anywhere until they are done and leaving...secondly...a lot times those hoses aren't 100%water tight...they do leak and seep a little.

Don't park in a fire lane either. There is a reason fire trucks have big heavy duty bumpers...

When they move a car out of the way it isn't a pretty picture.
(Insurance probably wouldn't cover the damage either.)

Edit: That is a really old pic, probably at least 5 years.

They actually will do that if you park in front of the fire hydrant if there is a fire. And if they bring it to court they will lose because of safety reasons.
