Unhappy My official public apology thread

Well, I've been reading the threads about the discrepency in the votes for ride of the month and it really makes me sad. I had asked/polled who would be up for a ride of the month and the majority voted for it. The ball started rolling so to speak and things were looking good. Everyone was making suggestions on how to make it work and how many nominations we should have etc. It was great seeing everyone on this forum working together towards a common goal. And now it's nothing but accusations and rumors going around. I don't know what the deal is with the votes but I apologize now for even suggesting rotm. I'm sorry. I didn't realize there would be so much controversy. Although I still believe it was a good ideal and feel it would be great to have a rotm, I question if it's really worth it. I truly enjoy this site too much and don't want it to become one of drama, rumors, accusations, and assumptions on what some may or may not have done. Wow, what a disappointment.

You don't need to apologize. Everything's gonna be alright, mama.

I assure you that everything will be sorted out. There's no need to get worked up about it.

With Mama's permission, I'm closing this thread. We'll wait to see what happens with ROTM!

We're all in this together. It was a fantastic idea, but we just had issues getting it planned out. As many have said, we will work this out. Rest assured that ROTM competitions on 8thcivic will be incredibly successful in the future.

If anything, we should congratulate you for putting forth an idea that made a great impact on the site. Heck, even I don't have one of those yet. :)
