Anyone In D.C./VA going to the Fort Minor Concert?

Hey, I was just wondering if anybody was going to the Fort Minor concert on Feb 10th. For those that don't know Fort Minor is the hip-hop group from Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park). Tickets are like $20 from the ticket master and they're playing at Nation.

Semi-old post, but I checked out Fort Minor a couple of weeks ago. Good stuff. Similar enough to Linkin Park to be familiar, but original enough to be his own thing. Good stuff. I like the beat on "Where'd You Go?" I'm a big fan of the piano as well. Plus, I think Jay-Z's laugh at the end is funny.
Anyone interested in Linkin Park should check out Fort Minor. But don't let his connection with LP distract you. This album is a true blend of genres.

I didn't get to go to the show. The Legend lost a CV bearing and I got stuck here in New England. I was so sad. Everyone was waiting for me to come home. It really sucks. There's always next year.

The FM album is great. Don't have to skip a track at all. I like "Kenji", the one about is grandfather. It's interesting to hear someone else's story; one that's not all about the ghetto or the trailer park. That album is a breath of fresh air to the hip-hop genre. Much like Common's "Be" album, and both of Kanye's albums. I could go on and on though.

You're right; you don't have to skip any of the tracks. Kenji is good. I had to listen to it twice in a row the first time I heard it just to let it all sink in.
"They called it an internment camp..." Powerful stuff.

Even more powerful is when he says some of the Japanese signed up to serve in the US military and the military had them fly over Hiroshima and drop the A-bomb. Can you imagine? That's a slap in the face to Japanese-American's ancestry.

Wow. I'm at work, and I just typed about 10 paragraphs about how America sucks. I had to delete it because I don't know if I truely believe all of what I said. Plus I felt too much like I was on a soap box.

So yeah...Fort Minor is good.

It's not the country that sucks. It's just those that run it. Me and you have no merit on the decisions that those soldiers or those Japanese-American men and women had to do, quote-unquote "for their country". The man in charge is still just that........

...a man.

^ Yeah. Shindoa might be a bit upset. But, people can listen to (I think) the whole CD on his Web site.
