Given 1 year to live what would you do?
No, no I'm not dying (well I am like anyone else)...I just thought it would be interested what people would do with 1 year to live and nothing to lose...
Spend time with family? Travel? Do exteme sports?? etc, etc... I would travel the world and see as many live musical performances as possible...I would do lots of drugs and drink (why not? ) I would rent as many exotic cars as possible, go skydiving, bungee jumping etc...

I would try very very hard to have a kid before I died, to carry on my legacy...knock my wife up...
Go see Europe, Italy, Germany, Japan...by flying on a plane, that i'm terrified to do (Don't fly) Taking my Mom, and my brother with me...see my wife a little bit here and there...then spend the last 3 months with my new SON, and my wife..and my mom and brother..and my best friend of 16 years...I think I could die happy then. Oh yeah, i'm also scared of rollercoasters..i'd probably try and ride all the rollercoasters... |

Okay, this brought a tear to my eye (personal reasons, but no also not dying)
I would have to say spend as much time as possible with my family and those who I love. This could include anything mundane from like sitting around BBQ-ing and drinking to more "interesting" stuff like traveling. One thing I would do is somehow record some sort of video or put together a journal for those in my family who wont get to meet me so they have something to get an idea/learn about me. Idk, I just got uber depressed, why'd I open this? Good topic though if it doesn't hit close to home

family, family, family!! I would make sure my hubby had everything straight (which we pretty much already have but would just make sure) to raise our girls. I would also make sure I spend as much time with him and our 2 girls as I could. As for anything else, the only other thing I've always wanted to do is visit California.

wow.. this is a pretty good question.. and to be honest.. i have no idea what i would do if i had a year to live.. its never something i've really thought about.. but yeah.. i'd probably drop outta school.. start taking culinary arts classes (something i've always wanted to do as a hobby).. with the extra time that i have without school.. i'd spend more time volunteering than i usually do (i volunteer at charity walks to raise money for cancer patients like relay for life, march of dimes, spirit run, etc.. and i also volunteer at the children's hospital) what else.. i'd spend more time with my gf.. spend more time with my parents and sis and family in general.. im not really into doing that crazy stuff like sky diving or buyin five exotic cars nd such.. so probably i'd do stuff thats free.. but gives me personal satisfaction knowing i can make an impact in others lives instead of material possessions.

I think I would spend most of the time doing what most people would (with their closest loved ones, visiting places they've never been, do things they've never done).....
However....I'd end my last few days... On a bike...or fast car....riding/driving till I get a heart attack from the adrenaline rush or crash...or my YEAR is up and it wouldn't matter. My Last Few Days |

I'd have to be pissed off because I know my unit would deploy me for that last year but if I was able to do anything I wanted I would live each week as if I only had one( spending Q time with family and friends, driving the hell outa my car and various other things dangerous).but...I have two years to live so i have time to decide what i'm going to do with a year now don't I?
p.s. I'm kidding.

I'd just to make the best of my time by spending time with my family, make an attempt to meet family members I've never met, travel, do things I've always wanted to do, write a journal that I'll keep to myself. On the 364th day, I'll leave that journal on my bed or something.
What a depressing thread!
