Coachella 2007 (friday)=Af*ckinmazing!!!!!

For those of you that don't know what Coachella is: It's a 3 day (this year) music festival in the middle of the California desert. There are 4 statges which have (generally) different genres of music (techno, hip-hop, pop/indie-rock, and another small techno tent).

The place is friggin' Huge!!! There are crazy art exhibits, food vendors, etc...

Anyway, myself and 2 friends went for friday...The lineup was as follows:

* Bjork
* Interpol
* the Jesus and Mary Chain
* Arctic Monkeys
* Jarvis Cocker
* Sonic Youth
* Faithless
* DJ Shadow
* Peeping Tom
* Brazilian Girls
* Peaches
* Felix Da Housecat
* Rufus Wainwright
* Stephen Marley featuring Jr. Gong
* Nickel Creek
* Digitalism
* Tokyo Police Club
* Comedians of Comedy
* El-P
* Julieta Venegas
* Of Montreal
* Gogol Bordello
* Benny Benassi
* Satellite Party
* Circa Survive
* Silversun Pickups
* Gillian Welch
* Tilly and the Wall
* David Guetta
* Amy Winehouse
* Noisettes
* Evil Nine
* Flosstradamus featuring Kid Sister
* Bus Driver
* Brother Ali

We didn't arrive until about 6:30 (It began at 12:00), but there was nothing we wanted to see until 7 anyway. We caught the following acts: Peaches, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Bjork

, and seveal DJ's spinning House).

Peaches was awsome and foul! Ron Jeremy introduced her

The Jesus and Mary Chain was outstanding, but...Bjork was the absolute highlight. Her performance was bar none the best live performance I have ever witnessed!!! She played for 1.5 hours (longer than she was scheduled for!) For the Bjork fans: She went from "Army of Me" to "Pluto" with a 5 minute House jam!!! It was glorious! The energy was just awsome!!!

Unfortunatly I missed DJ Shadow as he was playing when Bjork was (I'm going to kill the person that made the set times!)

For those of you who might consider going to this event in future years I would highly suggest camping at the show...It's cheap and the traffic in and out of this thing in bar-none the worst I have ever seen. It took us approximately 2.5 hours to get 5 miles on the way in!!!

The only people I have heard of out of that list are Bjork, and Sonic Youth.

My best live performances I have seen are Dave Matthews Band (UNFCKING BELIEVABLE how he sounds exactly the same live) I've seen Bush, they put on a good show...but my favorite show i've ever seen is Limp Bizkit..as weird as it may sound..LOL.

I Would love to see "The Fray" .. I love their CD..every song is great.

I was surprised how many Canadian and Mexican plates I saw in the parking lots! I really considered myself lucky thinking that some people probably drove for 3 days or more to get there...I had a 2.5 hour drive
