Bought my first new home today!!!

My fiance and I have been looking for our first home for a few months. After a bunch of failed open houses and one house almost closed on (radon gas levels higher than state minimum) we found one today. It was built in late 2006. We are the first owners!! We live in Western/Central NY. We paid (sorry Cal guys) $178k, its on .8 acres and its just under 2300 square feet, 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The actual style of the exterior isnt totally my style, but I can definitely deal with it.......we are planning on living here for a few years and then selling it to build a totally custom home.
Enough talking, heres the pics:

Dont the hondas look nice in the driveway!!

The front.....

Front entrance:

My future media site:

Anderson frameless french doors (future rear deck)

Wet bar....nuff said!!

Garage time!!!!!!

2 full car, drywalled, insulated, lighted, Epoxy speckled floor, Telephone jacks, and cable tv jacks!!

Congrats!!!

That's a huge house for $178K! You're lucky to get a studio apartment here in Vancouver with that money!

Good purchase for the price! Congratulations.

The wood siding is a bit overdone IMHO, but great looking house nonetheless. Are the siding Cedar or fiber cement?

Sorry for the question. I work for an architect firm =/

Congratulations for your new home dude, it looks good, but, and it seems that is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, what about your neighbors?

Thanks for all the congrats guys.

The siding is cedar. In our area this is a pretty desirable thing.

Neighbor wise, I have one on each side of my house. Its kinda hard to explain how populated the area is. There are homes down the whole street etc, but its not a city setting with curbs and small lots. Since our home lots are bigger than usual city ones it makes for more of a country setting. There are fields around the area still so that helps with the quietness too. Im about 15 min from the city of Rochester (3rd biggest city in NY).

I also just found out that there is a gun range down the street a little ways. Now I dont have to drive 20 min to use mine.
