Greatest Type-R Ever Made

Which do you think is/was the greatest Type-R ever made by Honda? It could be based on price, exclusivity, performance, aesthetics, whatever! Give a brief explanation.

EK9

DC2

DC5

EP3

NSX

FN2

FD2

I'm trying to decide on the EK9 or the DC2. I love the understated-ness of these two cars, and yet they're extremely potent on the street and track.

of those two I would choose DC2, it just looks so much better IMO, mainly because of the headlights and it being a coupe instead of a hatch

Yeah, but the DC2 (and DC5) looks coupe-ish. Not like a true hatch like the EK9, FN5, and EP3.

I picked the FN5 cause it just looks sick. Main points i like are the interior, grill and the exhaust. You know we should really get those, i mean they gave us the ep3 so, wtf?

You've got a typo Marc. The euro type r is the FN2, not FN5 and my vote will go for that, once it's fixed.

wow it's like all the generations. Well isn't the latest generation far superior? but in my personal opinion i think that the DC5 would handle pretty good and be pretty damn fast. But the FN5 is sickkkk. but i doubt any of them can compare to the NSX as far as handling. THE NSX's interior is non impressive, i remember seeing a comparison of that and the 350z, i though that the 350z looked way more sporty and had a good symetrical clean look.

DC5, the NSX type R doesn't come with anything.

Well, the regular petrol 2.0L FN is the FN2. I only assumed the Type-R would be the FN5 (a-la FD2 vs FD5).

And I voted for the EK9 just because it's so sleeper-ish.

I don't think they have a 2.0 over there besides the type r, 1.4, 1.8, and 2.2 I believe for the other model civics. The chassis code for the 2.2 is FK3, 1.8 is FK2, and the 1.4 is FK1.

Sorry about this, I just don't want members confused.

The NSX Type-R.

Why? It was an under-powered car that still raced against Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini like it was no problem at all. The car looked slow on paper, but on the track was about as serious a competitor as it got.

It's not supposed to. Honda Type-R's were designed to be bare-bones racecars.

I am also pretty sure that the JDM Type R is the FD2, not FD5
