Average Speed??

I was just wondering what everyones average speed (in mph) was around town and on the hwy....i know a lot of threads when the subject of speed pops up people debate on what speeding is...but the truth is the average speed in every city is different....

post like this so it makes it easy to read....

suggested speed limit (average):
city-40mph
hwy-70mph

my speed:
city-45-50mph
hwy-80-85mph

those speeds i posted above are the average speeds that everyone else around me drives....and i just stay with traffic....

in the city i usually do 5 mph over the speed limit. too many cops in cali.

on the fwy i'm usually doing 75/80, but there is a stretch of fwy i take right before work where i go from 80 to 130mph before i exit :)

I always drive the speed limit in the city, and on the freeway I rarely go above 70.

Call me slow if you want, but I've had my lisence for years and still have a clean driving record

10-15 over in the city, except school zones, 10-20 over on the highway, except on really rural interstates, where 85-95 is a comfortable speed. Most speed limits are set too low because they are a chance to earn revenue and because some idiot can't even handle what the road is designed for and we cater to the lowest common denominator in this country.

In the city I go 5-10 over. Highway, I do roughly 10 over. All depends on my mood though.
