I think with the number of entries there will be, there has got to be some way of narrowing it down. So mods and vips will have to be involved I would think. But I feel it still would ultimately be up to the people of the site to vote. I mean, everyone can enter. Mods and vips are just narrowing it down to 5, and then everyone gets to vote out of those 5.

Thanks for explaining. I understand that a lot of people would think it would be a popularity contest. That is one reason, when I suggested member of the month, someone said it should stay ride of the month. I hadn't thought of there being biased views cuz frankly, I don't have any towards any member here. I would hope that it would not end up like you say. I feel like the members of this site are not as immature and I feel this site is run a so much better than any I have been a member of.
I hope, if they do implement a ride of the month, that it will not be run as you say. If it does, I will be the first to complain to try to have it removed.

I am the one who mentioned it should stay ride of the month instead of member of the month. It only makes sense to call it rotm, cause we are voting on that members ride. If I were new to the site and I saw "member of the month" I would think, wow that member has really helped out the site in some way or another. See what I mean?

well...don't do it with existing members..cause we all have nice cars...do it for new people that join..and they have the month they joined..to do things to their cars..then vote at the end of the month for the people that just joined that month...err..something like that..

That would be to difficult to keep up with.

If people are woried that the same cars are going to be picked we can do a rule where that one car can only be picked once every 2 maybe 3 years. Seems like a long time but that would seem to be fair for everyone.

Sidenote: I would want for Jasfarr to win before my ride. He has put alot into that car. Im sure some stuff we probably havent even seen.

I was thinking can't win more than once a year and unless they've done a lot of changes, once every 2 years is even better.

Thanks--I'm not saying your suggestion is a bad idea. I was saying what I had suggested was not a great idea cuz I had not thought of the possibility of it turning into a personality contest.
