i think they mean only mods and vip members can nominate the ride of the month

no the thread where you post pics will be in like the water cooler....then like 2 weeks before the end of the month the mods will close it and then the vip's and mods will nominate top 5....then like the whole forum vote on those 5...

Wasn't the idea of a ROTM forum brought up? I think if the thread was in the 'Water Cooler' that not everyone would see it. I know I didn't check the WC before, but once I checked it, I was hooked . Where is Webby on this idea? Sleeping?

It'd just be a popularity contest. We all know the first two would be Marvie (because seriously, less than 10% of the site isn't on his dick) and then Type X for his wheels. Then it'd be more people who have wheels and friends here. Someone could have a sick ride but if people don't like them, they wouldn't get nominated therefore, I say no. I've seen way to many sites do it and it always turns out the same. Plus, this site seems to be more Cliche than others.

I agree but only because JasFarrar would never get ROTM and I think he deserves it for the progress that he has made with his car. People don't like it because the look at it like it's the ugliest daily driver in the world.. but it's an award winning show car. :shrugs:

Thanks for explaining. I understand that a lot of people would think it would be a popularity contest. That is one reason, when I suggested member of the month, someone said it should stay ride of the month. I hadn't thought of there being biased views cuz frankly, I don't have any towards any member here. I would hope that it would not end up like you say. I, too, have been on a couple of other forums and they are not run the same as this one. I have posted more on this forum than the other three I belong to combined.
I feel like the members of this site are not as immature and I feel this site is run a so much better than any I have been a member of.
I hope, if they do implement a ride of the month, that it will not be run as you say. If it does, I will be the first to complain to try to have it removed.

I personally don't think that would be fair. Of course sicky is going to win, but that's why you make the rule that a person can only win once in X amount of time. For that matter Dawn is a sure thing.. but they both deserve it as they have both made their cars beautiful. I figure that the first 6 months of this thing can be pegged from a mile away.. but after that it will get interesting to see who wins and why.
