I think when it comes right down to it, the actual camera might win this. I know the nice angles etc etc..just do not have a camera to take quality pics, like I have seen on this sight. I know I have seen a few that posted pics of there car with a normal camera, then one with a really nice one. All the difference in the world IMO. I guess my point is, people may not compete more than once due to lack of capable equipment, kinda like bringin an ex to Si competition. Just my 2cents

- Just one car a month and alternate between SI and Non-SI. ie:jan-si/feb-non

- Maybe have the mods and/or VIP's nominate rides - if some think they should have a special say so

- Everyone can vote! I think this is a must.

- Noone can win more than once a year

- Winner has his or her car posted on the home page with maybe a little blurb about them, the car, hobbies, family, whatever.

- Winner should also get maybe a free set of 8thcivic stickers or something.

- Modded as well as stock cars should be eligible. Nominations and voting should be based on how good the car looks, and there are some real clean cars on here with just tint and rims.

Should be Si and Non-Si rides. Having both Si and non-Si winner's for each month.

Car must have something done to it. Anything from tint only to full list of mods.

1st Week:
Thread opened in VIP section.

Mod's/VIP's Nominate cars up for the award. 4 other Mod's/VIP's have to agree with the nominated ride. Giving 5 total votes.

Mod's or VIP's can only nominate 1 Si and non-Si only. (can't be their car, don't have to nominate both Si and non-Si)

First 5 cars with 5 total votes go up for the award for that month. Once a car receives 5 votes it is added to the OP.

Car owners are contacted by Mod's to give links of 3 pics of their cars. (pics must be: side profile, front and side shot and 3rd pic upto car owner)

2nd and 3rd Week:
Cars get posted up on OP thread in the Car of the Moth Award sub-forum

along with a poll.

All members of the 8th vote for the top car for the two week period. Date can be given for the last day of voting.

4th Week:
New thread is oppened to announce the Car of the Month Award winner's (along with pics) with an announcement on the Home page.

Noone can win more than once a year.
Winner's maybe get a free set of 8thcivic stickers or something.
Winner's also added on the Gallery section of the 8th. (For archive purpose)

All this sounds great but what if (here goes the woman in me) we made a Ride of the Month forum and then it would have Jan 07 with pics and details, Feb 07 pics and details, etc. but there wouldn't be posting available on the thread. Do you know what I mean? That way, it's archived, accessible, and easily located.

if we are doing Si and R18 each month, is there any chance of rotating coupe and sedan each month, because I have the feeling otherwise it will be all coupes and 1 sedan

All the info will be archived 2 different ways.

one being pics of only the winners in the gallery section of the 8th. second is throught the 2 thread in the Car of the Month sub-forum. One thread being voting only and other thread to announce the winner and let members congratulate the winner.
