Students Check In

I'm making this thread to serve 2 purposes.. First off I was wondering how many students that we had on the forums these days. Just tell us a couple of things:
1) how old
2) where are you located
3) what school do you attend
4) what is your major/what degree are you going for

As for me.. I go to a college/tech school.

firmhonda
1) 23
2) Dfw, Tx
3) ITT Tech
4) Associates in Computer Networking Systems

oh.. and the other reason for this thread is this.... if you're a broke student like me you eat pb&j here and there. Well, the same old sandwich just got a whole lot better.

After the whole killer peanut butter fiasco I got some of this organic pb made by smuckers and ZOMG it's great. Best peanut butter I've ever had. After trying this I actually kind of like pb&j's again. You all should pick some up. :)

40hr work week + full time student sucks balls. I cook like a weeks worth of food at once, and take some each day for meals. Lots of rice. Saves money.

That dedication is awesome. I quit my job to go to school and still haven't found a new one yet that would work with my schedule. I got hired on at GameStop HQ rebuilding xbox's and ps's but they wanted me to work on the other side of town from 11pm-7am and I have to be in class @ 7:30am. No way man.. it would take me around 2 hours just to make it there (traffic is a pita).

Good luck man.. hope everything gets a little smoother and easier for ya.

You guys should try out Costco. I love that place, you can seriously have a decent lunch off of the samples. Buying food in bulk makes it a lot cheaper too.

do any of you have a specific place that you want to work at after you graduate?

I would really like to get a job at my local school district fresh out.. They start their network techs @ $54k a year.. I think that's a perfect start. Also, the techs are free to make their own schedules as long as they work 8 hours a day, so that leaves it open to go to a college like UTA.. which is where I wanted to go originally.

I wanted to ask you about UC Irvine. Is it a good school to attend? How are your experiences there? And, Do they have any good medical programs there? I'm still deciding what college to attend once high school is over with. Thanks.
