mercedes stole my civic

i have a friend that works for mercedes and we take my car up there sometimes to use their lifts.well today we went up there to do an alignment after dropping it last week.so we put it up on the lift and wouldn't you know it the fuc#ing power went out b/c a tornado took out the power lines a few blocks a way.i am glad it wasn't closer ,but dam! w/ the power out we had to leave my car there and didn't even get anything done.

not the lifts at this shop.i said the same thing and he told me they had a locking pin and if we pulled it we could release it but the weight of the alignment lift sits on the pin

hmmmm highly doubtful.......i worked in a garage for 5 yrs. happend to me 4-5 times w/ power loss in the middle of working on a car and everyone of our bays have an emergency release cable built in just for that reason. Im sure Benz has the money to invest in a system to prevent that

aaaaaaaah alignment rack is different story now....little heavier to be released by one cable, you have to raise the lift up to release the pins then go down....i see i see
