MordeKyle: First of all, hardcore music is the shit. My girl and I both are from a hardcore music background just like yourself and she got hers done when she turned 18, almost 2 years now. Total cost was about $75 and she made me pay for that shit for her bday haha. Now, as far as any problems, she has had none at all. She still has all sensitivity and possibly even a little more . I would tell your girl to go for it. I had mine done and it really doesn't hurt that much. The clamp is what hurts the most. O and tell her to go with hoops, not barbells. The barbells tend to get infected since u can't clean them as well.

ive heard that alot about that piercing... but i hadnt heard anything about sensativity in nipples before...

I would actually go to a doctor and talk to him/her about this before you get it done. It might seem like something that's a pita, but so is having it pierced without talking to a doctor one on one and really discussing all of the possiblities. From all that I read some girls have problems, and others don't. But it seems that a high percentage do end up having extremely sensative nipples for a period of time and then it's as if they have gone numb.. and that makes sense to me.

The way it was explained to me was the scar tissue will build up over time from the barbell/hoop moving around. As it builds it will start to go over the nerve endings in the nipples causing them to feel numb and take more stimulation to have the same effect.


I would definitely go to a doctor and have a little chat. It seems as if you care for this girl very much so and if you're anything like me you wouldn't want anything to happen to her that would make her unhappy in the long run. At least this way you'll be getting direct answers from someone that has gone to medical school rather than getting opinions off of a forum.

Please don't think that I'm trying to knock you in any way, I've just been through this debate before. It never got serious enough for us to go to the doctor and talk to him about it, but we decided that was definitely the next step.

Wow, i'm surprised her parents are ok with the relationship with you being so much older and all. But i guess it's a lot different where you live than in NY. The laws are so much stricter up here.

As for the piercings, honestly, i would go for a tatoo. I guess both have their own reprocusions, but the nipple piercings just seem too risky and more pron to infection.
